Products & Materials
Micko supplies a wide range of genuine leather materials, including full-grain, top-grain, corrected-grain, nubuck, and split leather. We also offer PU, microfiber, and synthetic alternatives for different end-product applications and price points. Our catalog covers hides and finished leather suitable for footwear, bags, garments, upholstery, and accessories.
Yes. We strongly recommend sample evaluation before bulk orders. We provide A4-sized sample cards or material swatches so you can assess hand feel, color consistency, and grain structure. Sample fees depend on the material and quantity requested, and are typically refundable against confirmed bulk orders.
Yes. Our materials comply with common international standards including REACH, RoHS, and California Proposition 65 for restricted substances. Test reports from third-party laboratories can be provided on request for specific compliance needs.
We carry a broad range of standard colors and finishes in stock. For custom colors, textures, embossing, or finishing effects, our development team can match physical references or Pantone codes. Custom development usually requires additional lead time and may have higher MOQ.
Full-grain leather retains the entire grain surface with natural markings and the highest durability. Top-grain leather is lightly sanded to remove imperfections for a more uniform appearance. Split leather comes from the lower layers of the hide and is often used for suede or as a base for finished leather. Each type suits different applications and price points.
Collaboration Process
The process typically follows five steps: inquiry and consultation, sample evaluation and approval, quotation and order confirmation, bulk production with QC updates, and shipping with after-sales follow-up. Each stage is supported by a dedicated account manager.
Yes. We routinely sign NDAs and confidentiality agreements with brand clients and OEM partners. Custom developments, colors, and finishes are treated as confidential and are not shared with third parties.
Absolutely. Many of our clients are long-term brand and OEM partners. We support recurring supply with forecast planning, safety stock arrangements, and consistent quality across production batches.
For new clients we typically work with T/T (telegraphic transfer) on confirmed orders, usually 30% deposit with balance before shipment. Established partners may qualify for open-account terms after a successful trading history. Letter of Credit (L/C) is accepted for larger orders.
Yes. We can provide commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, material test reports, and any other documentation required for your import records or internal compliance.
Orders & Logistics
MOQ varies by material, finish, and customization level. Standard in-stock materials usually start from 50-100 square feet for sampling and 500+ square feet for production orders. Custom colors, textures, or embossing may require higher MOQs depending on the complexity of the development.
Standard materials in stock typically ship within 5-7 working days. Customized bulk production usually takes 15-30 working days depending on quantity, finish, and finishing requirements. Lead time is confirmed at quotation and tracked throughout production.
We support EXW, FOB, CIF, and DDP terms depending on your preference. We work with trusted freight forwarders for sea, air, and express shipments, and can arrange consolidated shipping if you source multiple materials from us.
Yes. We ship to most major markets including the United States, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. Shipping routes and transit times depend on destination and Incoterms selected.
Leather is typically rolled, wrapped in protective film, and packed in reinforced cartons or on pallets depending on the order size. Custom packaging and retail-ready labeling can be arranged on request.
Quality Control & After-Sales
Every batch is inspected through raw material selection, in-process checks during finishing, and a final AQL inspection before packing. Pre-shipment photos and third-party inspection reports can be arranged on request so you can verify quality before shipment.
Please notify us within 7 days of receiving the shipment with photos and batch information. We investigate each case promptly and offer replacement, credit, or refund depending on the specific situation. Our after-sales team works with you until the issue is fully resolved.
Yes. We retain color formulas, finish specifications, and production references for repeat orders to maintain consistency. For long-term partnerships, we archive reference samples so future batches can be matched against the original approval.
Absolutely. Third-party inspections such as SGS, Bureau Veritas, or your nominated agency are welcome. We coordinate the inspection booking and provide full access to the production batch and relevant documentation.
Custom Development
Yes. Custom colors, textures, embossing patterns, and finishing effects are part of our core capability. Share your reference (physical sample, Pantone code, or image) and our lab will develop a lab dip or hand sample for your approval before bulk production begins.
Custom development usually requires 7-15 working days for lab dips and hand samples, plus additional time for approval iterations. Once a custom spec is approved, bulk production follows our standard 15-30 working day lead time.
Yes. Our team can recommend suitable materials based on your product type (footwear, bags, garments, upholstery, accessories), performance requirements (durability, hand feel, color fastness), and price targets. Tell us about your project and we will propose options with samples.
Custom development may involve one-time setup fees for color matching, embossing rollers, or specialized finishes. These costs are typically absorbed into larger production runs. We share clear cost breakdowns during quotation so you can evaluate the total value.
